The prevalence of type 2 diabetes mellitus for all age groups worldwide was estimated to be 2.8% in 2000 and is predicted affect 4.4% by 20301. total number people with projected rise from 171 million 366 20301.Diabetes has been defined as follows:1.American association diabetes: Diabetes a group metabolic disease characterized hyperglycemia resulting defects insulin secretion, action or both. 2.Who definition: chronic disease, which occurs when the pancreas does not produce enough body cannot effectively use it produces.3.Harrison's principle internal medicine: DM refers common disorders that share phenotype hyperglycemia. Aims: study aimed at comparing range musculoskeletal manifestations patients pre-diabetes Kashmiri population.Methodology: This observational performed SKIMS MCH Bemina Department Orthopedics November 2020 2022. A 300 were enrolled after obtaining relevant approval Ethical Committee Bemina. Results: As per GALS screening, 61 (40.7%) Group D compared 32 (21.3%) PD having abnormalities Arms, 50 (33.3%) against 29 (19.3%) had legs, 20 (13.3%) 7 (4.7%} spine abnormalities. difference observed statistically significant p < 0.05. Overall there 91 (60.7%} 62 (41.3%} screening value 0.001. Conclusion: These seem have across two are: Dequervains tenosynovitis, Carpal tunnel syndrome, Lateral epicondylitis, Rotator cuff tendintis, Osteoarthritis, Trochanteric bursitis, diffuse idiopathic skeletal hyperostosis (DISH), Osteoporosis. should specifically sought diabetic so holistic management protocol can offered these patients.
